Meningkatnya arus lalu lintas di Kabupaten Boyolali selama musim Lebaran 2013 ini bakal dipantau intensif melalui 17 kamera CCTV di 11 titik, terutama di jalur Solo-Semarang. Kepadatan lalu lintas selama masa tersebut juga dapat dipantau pemudik dengan mengakses website www.satlantas-polresboyolali.com.
Kasatlantas Polres Boyolali, AKP Alil Rinenggo, mewakili Kapolres, AKBP Budi Haryanto, mengemukakan belasan kamera CCTV itu telah terpasang di 11 titik, yaitu di kawasan Pasar Ampel, di tanjakan Keboan Ampel, perempatan Terminal Boyolali, di depan Kantor Bupati Boyolali, di perempatan Tegalwire Mojosongo, di depan Mapolres Boyolali, di pertigaan Wika Mojosongo, di pertigaan Randusari Teras, di pertigaan Ngangkruk, dan pertigaan Bangak Banyudono.
Dijelaskan dia, di antara lokasi itu, merupakan jalur yang dinilai rawan kemacetan ataupun rawan kecelakaan lalu lintas. Pihaknya berharap pemantauan secara intensif kondisi lalu lintas melalui CCTV tersebut akan mempermudah penanganan terhadap kemacetan atau jika terjadi kecelakaan lalu lintas.
”Para pemudik juga dapat memanfaatkan informasi ini untuk menghindari kemacetan,” ungkapnya ketika ditemui wartawan di kantornya, Rabu (31/7/2013).
Kasatlantas menambahkan pengelolaan kamera CCTV tersebut ditangani Boyolali Traffic Management Center (BTMC) yang ada di Mako Satlantas Polres Boyolali. Sementara itu untuk antisipasi kecelakaan lalu lintas, selain selalu memantau melalui BTMC sebagai deteksi dini, Satlantas juga menyiapkan unit mobile public address sebagai upaya sosialisasi kepada pengguna jalan. Tak hanya itu, petugas juga sudah memasang berbagai spanduk berisi imbauan agar pengguna jalan selalu berhati-hati saat berkendara dan menyiapkan jalur-jalur alternatif, serta menyiapkan unit pemecah arus maupun unit pengawalan.
”Kami tentunya berharap pengendara memperhatikan imbauan dan mematuhi rambu-rambu yang ada,” jelas Kasatlantas.
